Problem Note 57429: The QP solver in PROC OPTMODEL might terminate abnormally and issue an arithmetic exception error

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

In the OPTMODEL procedure, the following error might occur in the QP solver if the model is actually infeasible:

ERROR: The solver terminated because of an arithmetic exception.

It might be possible to circumvent the problem by changing the feasibility tolerance level using the STOP_PI=, STOP_DI=, and STOP_DG= options in the SOLVE WITH QP statement. For example, the following code relaxes the default 1E-6 value for each option:

SOLVE WITH QP / stop_pi=1e-5 stop_di=1e-5 stop_dg=1e-5;
